Amazing staff!!!
Dr. John A. Johnson Jr. recommends that our patients visit us every six months for a regular checkup. Your twice-yearly dental cleanings and exams in Bryan will help you:
Call Johnson Dentistry today to schedule your next cleaning and exam: 979-279-8839. No insurance? We have a membership plan that helps cover the cost of routine care. We’re also in network with most PPO dental plans.
Your entire family will benefit from the expert care at Johnson Dentistry. Bring your little ones to us for a “happy visit” at age 2. This will get them used to the idea of dental care. When they’re a little older, their visits will resemble your own appointments.
Our checkups begin with a basic dental exam and a set of digital X-rays if needed. We’ll also use an electronic cavity detector to check for early signs of tooth decay. Your hygienist will then clean and polish each tooth, paying special attention to areas you miss when brushing and flossing at home. Next, Dr. Johnson will perform a complete dental exam and take a closer look at any suspected problem areas.
Our goal is to help you keep the brightest and healthiest smile possible, so we’ll then discuss any recommended treatments in detail with you. These treatments could include:
Maintain a beautiful smile with regular Bryan dental cleanings and exams. Call Johnson Dentistry today at 979-279-8839 to schedule your next appointment. You can also request an appointment online.
The time needed for these services will vary depending on several factors, including whether we’ve seen you before and what shape your smile is in. Typically, though, it won’t require more than an hour. It will be time well spent, as your teeth will look and feel great!
To keep your teeth and gums in the best possible shape, we recommend visiting our office every six months for dental cleanings and exams. This allows our team to remove bacteria-filled plaque before it can cause any serious problems. It also enables us to find issues like cavities and gum disease in their earliest stages, when they are easiest to treat.
The American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth at least twice a day and flossing at least once a day. But that is only part of maintaining good oral health. Brushing and flossing won’t remove dental plaque that builds up and hardens on your teeth and infects your gums. Only a trained hygienist has the skills and equipment to do that, which is why you need to visit the dentist for cleanings and exams about twice a year.
It all depends on the type of treatment you receive during your appointment. If our dental team has applied fluoride treatment to your teeth, you’ll want to wait at least 30 minutes before you eat. Otherwise, there’s no reason to wait at all! However, many people prefer to wait a while since their teeth and gums may feel a bit sensitive after their cleaning.
